The paid version of Spotify had one disadvantage compared to the competition, which was mainly felt by long-time users. A maximum of 10 songs could be added to the music library, which is only a fraction of the fifty million songs available on this streaming platform. The good news is that Spotify has finally listened to user criticism.

Users have been asking Spotify to remove this limit for years. In the past, however, he received only negative responses from the company. For example, in 2017, a Spotify representative said they had no plans to increase the music library limit because less than one percent of users reach it. This number has probably changed since then, which is why Spotify decided to remove the limit.

Limit cancellation only applies to saving songs to your music library. Individual playlists are still limited to 10 items, and users can also only have 10 songs downloaded on their device. However, these are not such big problems because you can create as many playlists as you need and songs for offline playback can be downloaded to up to five devices, so in theory you can have 50 thousand songs downloaded. In the end, Spotify warned that the limit in the music library is being removed gradually, and some users may still see the limitation for several days or weeks.
