Informace regarding the development of the 5nm Exynos chipset have been appearing for several years. Now comes news from South Korea about the start of mass production of these chipsets. ZDNet claims that it will be Exynos 992 and we will probably see it in the phones already Galaxy Note 20 to be introduced in August this year.

Chipsets made with 5nm technology are supposed to be up to 20 percent more efficient than the currently used Exynos 990. This is certainly useful in the era of the first 5G modems, which are not yet as tuned as 4G modems and are therefore more energy-demanding. As for the Exynos 992 chipset itself, it should use the Cortex-A78 CPU and the Mali-G78 GPU, which is up to 25 percent more powerful than the Mali-G77 in the Exynos 990 chipset. ARM has previously confirmed that the Cortex-A78 will be used in chipsets with a 5nm manufacturing process.

Speculations are also beginning to appear on the Internet that Samsung will use the Exynos 992 chipset only in the Galaxy Note 20, which will be sold in South Korea and in the rest of the world, is to use the Snapdragon 865 chipset. Galaxy phones and never confirmed. The Snapdragon version has always been available in the US and a few other countries. Most of the world has always had to settle for the Exynos version. We would be very surprised if it was u Galaxy Note 20 differently.
