Performance Androidat 11 was supposed to take place next week, specifically on June 3. However, Google unexpectedly announced last night that the announcement is being delayed, as well as the release of the beta version itself. Google did not state the exact reasons, but foreign servers agree that the reason is the mass protests over the death of George Floyd. They are gradually expanding from Minneapolis to other US cities.
Google had to postpone the show before Androidat 11 due to the covid-19 pandemic. Originally, the new system was supposed to be shown in mid-May at the Google I/O conference, but it was completely canceled for this year. The alternative date was June 3, when the system was supposed to be introduced at a special online event, but that too will not take place. We are still waiting for the new performance date and hopefully we will know it soon. The last time Google postponed an event was in 2012, when the devastating Hurricane Sandy was the main reason.
We are excited to tell you more about Android 11, but now is not the time to celebrate. We are postponing the June 3rd event and beta release. We'll be back with more on Android 11, soon.

The question is also what will happen with the introduction of the Pixel 4A phone. We were originally expected to see it at Google I/O as well, but they kept popping up after that informace for an early June release and is now being speculated as high as mid-July. It is quite possible that Google will reconsider the introduction of this phone and we will eventually see it at a joint event with is Androidin 11.
