Samsung, like other technology companies, is joining the fight against the COVID19 disease and has developed the Hand Wash app to remind us to wash our hands.

Research by the University of New South Wales, which is one of the world's top 100 universities, found that a person touches their face an average of 23 times an hour, of which 10 are touching the eyes, nose and mouth, the main routes through which it can enter the body viral or bacterial infection. Washing your hands is now more important than ever and should become a habit, which is why Samsung created the Hand Wash app.

The app is available for Gear S3, Gear Sports, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Activate Galaxy Watch Active 2, just have one of these models connected to your phone and download Hand Wash from this link. Immediately after installing and transferring the application to your watch, you will notice that your watch face has changed. Hand Wash also includes a dial where, in addition to the time, you can also see how many times you have washed your hands during the day and how much time has passed since the last wash. In the last row, you will also find hand icons here, they are used to "start washing", after tapping this icon, a countdown of 25 seconds will start (5 seconds for applying soap and 20 seconds for washing itself, which is the minimum time recommended by the World Health Organization), when the timer expires, the watch vibrates and you know when you can stop washing.

The main function of Hand Wash is to remind you to wash your hands again, you can set this as needed if you tap on the watch face or the Hand Wash app icon in the watch. The alert works with any watch face, no need to use a Hand Wash watch face. In the application interface, it is also possible to manually add the number of washes that may have taken place beyond the set notifications. In the last row, there is a clear weekly graph, which shows the number of washes per individual day and the average wash per week.
