Last month I you they brought news about the possible use of OLED displays from the Chinese company BOE in the upcoming generation of the series Galaxy S, respectively for the "basic" model - Galaxy S21. The South Korean company should have decided on this move for the sole reason of reducing the manufacturing cost of the phone. All devices from the Samsung workshop are famous for their high-quality displays, and therefore, if "foreign" display panels were to appear in the products of the South Korean technology giant, they would have to meet strict criteria and undergo detailed testing. However, BOE displays failed to do so.

A statement appeared on the Internet that the displays of the Chinese company BOE did not pass the quality test. The testing itself has two main phases – a quality test and a mass production test, so the BOE displays failed right from the start. And BOE displays didn't fare well even when tested for use in upcoming ones iPhonech 12. Originally, OLED displays for the iPhone 12 were to be supplied by BOE, LG and Samsung Display, Apple namely planned to reduce its dependence on Samsung, but now it seems that thanks to the failure of BOE displays, they will secure 80% of Samsung Display supplies.

According to the leaked information, we should be with the model Galaxy S21 wait for the 90Hz display and in case Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra displays with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Some speculation also mentions a "selfie camera" hidden under the display, this would mean the end of display cutouts.
