Samsung officially released the Health Monitor app today. At first glance, you might think that this is another app that is used to monitor the user's health. But in fact, it hides one function that every owner is waiting for smart watch Galaxy Watch Active 2. Because it makes blood pressure measurement available. At the same time, Samsung confirmed that it will release ECG measurements later this year, and the function will also be available in the Health Monitor application. Unfortunately, in both cases, the news will be available for the time being only for the domestic market, i.e. South Korea.

The main reason why the blood pressure or EKG measurement is not coming to other markets soon is that Samsung has to get approval from the regulatory authorities in each country. Samsung has no details about a possible launch in the Czech Republic and Slovakia informace. At least the representative of the Czech office revealed that Samsung is closely cooperating with many regulatory authorities in different countries and is looking forward to expanding this service to other markets.

You only need a watch to measure your blood pressure. First, however, calibration is needed using a classic pressure gauge. In total, the user has to perform the test three times and then can measure the pressure using only the watch. Samsung recommends recalibrating every month for more accurate results.

The measurement data is displayed directly on the watch, or in the Health Monitor mobile application, where weekly or monthly history can also be displayed. The measurement data can also be quickly shared if, for example, you want to send it to a doctor. We will learn more about ECG measurements in the coming weeks and months. This feature is planned to launch in the third quarter of this year.
