Viber introduces a brand new feature for creating custom GIFs

Press Release: Rakuten Viber, jedna z předních světových komunikačních aplikací, oznamuje uvedení nové funkce a to nástroje na vytváření vlastních GIFů, které mohou uživatelé posílat rodině a přátelům. V souladu s celosvětových nárůstem využívání komunikačních aplikací, rozšiřuje Viber možnosti své aplikace o novinky, které kromě GIF creatoru zahrnují také skupinové  audio a videohovory až pro 20 osob a skupinové konverzace až pro 250 osob. Nová funkce pro vytváření GIFů funguje pro uživatelé iOS, for Android bude spuštěna v následujících týdnech.

Text messages can sometimes be unclear, opening the door to misunderstanding the content or the tone with which they were written. Even if emojis help with correct understanding, the possibilities of text communication are limited. The novelty from Viber, i.e. the ability to create your own GIFs in addition to your own stickers, will certainly help to make the conversation in the application clearer than ever before.

Users can now easily record a short video in any conversation or select a video from the gallery and turn it into a legendary GIF with boomerang, speed-up or rewind.

And how to create your own GIF?

• Trim the video so that you only have the part that fits the GIF.
• Choose a video playback option - boomerang, loop, slow-motion, reverse, x2 or x4 acceleration.
• Complete your new GIF with different fonts, colors, images and stickers.

"Viber tries to give users as many options as possible to express themselves within the communication application. We like to say that an emoji can replace words, but a GIF or a sticker can replace entire sentences. Users can now communicate even more clearly with the help of their own GIFs, and above all, it can be more fun," said Ofir Eyal, COO at Rakuten Viber.
