IFA is one of the biggest technology fairs in the world, which takes place every year in Berlin. This year, IFA is particularly special in that it is one of the few trade shows that will take place in a relatively normal form. The fair will be held from September 4 to 9 in classic premises in Berlin. The only major limitation is that it will not be open to the public, but only to companies and journalists. However, we have now learned that we will not be seeing Samsung at this fair, for the first time since 1991. The reason is the covid-19 pandemic. The Korean company thus decided for higher security and does not want to take risks. This is not surprising, after all, earlier trade fairs such as MWC 2020 were also interrupted due to the coronavirus.

In the past, Samsung even used the IFA fair to introduce new models of the series Galaxy Notes. Although it is currently organizing its own event, IFA was still an important trade fair where journalists and the general public could try out and touch the new devices that Samsung was preparing for the second half of the year. Last year, Samsung prepared a phone for the trade show Galaxy A90 5G, which was the first non-flagship "cheaper" 5G phone. We could also see news about household products.

It looks like Samsung will hold off on big offline events for a while yet. After all, the Unpacked event in August, which we are supposed to see Galaxy Notes 20, Galaxy Fold 2, etc., will only take place online. By February/March 2021 if we were to see Galaxy With S21, the situation around the world will hopefully calm down and Samsung will also return to offline events.
