Samsung has a series in addition to the Note 20 series and tablets Galaxy The Tab S7 also plans to introduce foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Z Fold 2. According to behind-the-scenes information, the batteries for these two models will be supplied by the same manufacturer, which is Samsung SDI. This decision was likely, but there was also an option in the form of LG Chem, which supplies batteries for the range Galaxy S20 and Note 10.

Samsung apparently resorted to this step for economic reasons. As both models are expected to offer roughly the same wall batteries as the original models, Samsung SDI can use existing lines and molds to meet demand without having to increase production costs. If Samsung were to lean towards LG Chem as before, of course costs would increase. Samsung may have taken this step because of the coronavirus pandemic, as almost everyone wants to reduce costs today. If we look at batteries, Galaxy Z Fold 2 should offer a capacity of 4365 mAh, while the battery should be divided into 2135 mAh and 2245 mAh. A battery divided in this way will also be offered Galaxy Z Flip 5G, which should have 2500 mAh in one half of its body, and 704 mAh in the other. The models should be shown on August 5 in the frame Galaxy Unpacked, however, some sources claimed that the Z Flip 5G could be shown in China already today.
