The South Korean company Samsung has started the production of accessories in Brazil. The company announced the start of production of smart watches and fitness bracelets at its factory in the city of Manuas, Amazonas. "Investing in local manufacturing of smartwatches and other fitness wearables not only strengthens but also expands our connection with a country where we already have consolidated manufacturing of several products,” said Antonio Quintas, who is vice president of Samungu's mobile division in Brazil.

According to information, Samsung is doing so just in time, as the demand for wearable accessories in this country has increased significantly. According to Samsung, citing IDC, it saw a 218% year-over-year increase in smartwatch sales in the territory in the first quarter of the year. If we look at fitness bracelets, the year-over-year increase in sales for the first quarter was even 312%. After all, even Samsung admits that the main reason for investing in local production is the desire to satisfy customer demand in this constantly developing segment. Given the local factory, it is also possible that Brazilians will be able to buy these accessories at lower prices, which would only increase the demand. Currently, the South Korean giant produces in this factory Galaxy Watch Active (black, silver, pink gold), 40mm Galaxy Watch Active 2 LTE (pink gold), 44mm Galaxy Watch Active 2 LTE (black) and fitness bracelet Galaxy Fit e (black and white). Is it also produced here? Galaxy Watch 3 is not known at this time. Do you use any Samsung wearables?
