The keyboard has received several new features and improvements, yesterday Google announced the arrival of a real-time translation function for voice input. Owners of smartphones with the operating system will be the first to receive the news Android.

The technology server was among the first to report on the news Android Police. Representatives of Google confirmed to the editors of this site that the owners of all smartphones with the operating system Android in the near future they will receive a significant update to their Gboard keyboards. The company has already mentioned this function in the changelog in the past, but it has not reached users until now. The option of translations has been a part of the Gboard keyboard for about three years, but until now it was only available when entering text in the classic "manual" way. Users who were dependent on voice control were thus deprived of the function. After the update, however, it will be possible to start dictation by clicking on the microphone icon on the keyboard, during which everything that the user enters into the keyboard will be displayed in real time in translation into the selected language. Settings can be made in Gboard -> Overflow menu -> Translate. This is undoubtedly a very useful feature, which eliminates the need for users to constantly switch to Google Translate or another translation application.
