Exactly a week ago, Samsung's keynote took place in the form of Galaxy Unpacked, at which not only new smartphones were presented. Although the Note 20 series took the biggest chunk of attention, the "puzzle" in the form of Galaxy Z Fold 2. Over the past weeks and months, we have seen many leaks about all the devices introduced. But not much was known about the new generation of this foldable smartphone. Every now and then a blurry photo or speculation arrived, and it wasn't until a few days before the official presentation that rumors began to emerge that the Z Fold 2 would be a major improvement over its predecessor.

At first glance, the biggest improvement is the external display. Looking at the 6,23-inch panel, one wonders how Samsung underutilized the space in the previous model. The original Fold had this 4,6″ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1680 x 720. Now we have a 6,23″ Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2260 x 816. As you can see in the gallery on the side of the paragraph, the difference is huge. The main display has also received a change for the better, which in the first generation had a 7,3″ Dynamic AMOLED with a resolution of 2152 x 1536, while there was a rather unsightly cut-out for the selfie camera in the upper right corner. The UZ Fold 2 has a 7,6" Dynamic AMOLED with a resolution of 1768 x 2208. The front selfie camera is a punch-through. The folding novelty will also be a bit more pleasant in the pocket for the user, because when folded, the thickness at the bend has decreased from 17,1 mm to 16,8 mm. For the edges when closed, then from 15,7 mm to 13,8. Does this smartphone appeal to you?
