The summer months are inherently characterized by high outdoor temperatures. Although these are absolutely great for many activities such as lounging by the water, if a person does not have the opportunity to refresh himself, he tends to suffer from the temperatures - even more so when he has to endure them, for example, for x hours at his workplace, or after returning from work in a hot apartment. Air conditioners, which can be found in various price categories and with various functions, are undoubtedly a great solution to this problem. What interesting pieces does the current market offer?
There are truly countless models of air conditioners that can be reached. In order to better orient ourselves in this world, right at the beginning we will define two concepts that we will encounter quite often in the following lines - we are specifically talking about mobile air conditioners and wall air conditioners. Mobile air conditioners are devices that, in simple terms, can be moved from place to place without the need to modify the house, apartment or office. As a rule, it is sufficient with an air outlet in the form of a pipe sticking out, for example, from a window. However, it is necessary to take into account the fact that in the vast majority of cases they are less powerful than wall-mounted ones and at the same time noisier, since they are de facto the only ones to ensure the entire cooling process. As for wall-mounted air conditioners, they are quieter, more powerful, but also usually more expensive and, above all, more complicated to install, as it is necessary to conduct the air distribution from the internal unit to the external one, which is often not possible without various cuts in the walls.
Mobile air conditioning
Rohnson R-885 Genius
Since we deal with air conditioners on a website dedicated to smart technologies, we will focus primarily on smart ones. The first "master of shaving" will be the weakest in terms of cooling performance and also the cheapest. It is specifically the Rohnson R-885 Genius model boasting a cooling capacity of 9000 BTU/ha and a noise level of 64 decibels. In addition to cooling, you can also rely on a dehumidifier that can dehumidify the space up to 24 liters of water per day. As this air conditioner does not boast any brutal performance, it reliably cools a room up to a maximum of 30 m2, while the smaller it is, the faster and more efficient the cooling is logically. In terms of controllability, a mobile application is a matter of course, through which everything important can be set. It can be downloaded both from the App Store and Google Play.
G21 ENVI 12H
The mobile G21 ENVI 12h can be highlighted as another smart air conditioner. In addition to cooling, it can also dehumidify or even heat. Its noise level is quite acceptable at 65 decibels and it falls into energy class A, so it will certainly not ruin you in terms of consumption. In terms of design, this is a really nice piece that will not offend the interior in any way. As for its control, both the remote control and the smartphone application, through which you can set the temperature and everything else that might be needed for its operation, will be used for this. The only major drawback is that it can cool spaces up to 32 m2, which is not a lot. So, if you decide for it, you should know in advance exactly in which rooms you want to use it and how big they actually are.
SAKURA STAC 12 CHPB/K
An interesting solution can be the SAKURA STAC 2500 CHPB/K mobile air conditioner, which is also 12 crowns more expensive. Unlike the previous model, this one is available in black, which gives its body a great twist. In addition to cooling, air conditioning also includes dehumidification, heating and air ventilation. As for controllability, as in the previous case, you can use both the classic remote control that is included with the air conditioner, and the mobile application, through which everything necessary can be set and controlled. The manufacturer does not indicate how large a room the air conditioner can cool, but given that its cooling capacity is the same as that of the previous air conditioner (i.e. 12 BTH/h), even here you can count on reliable cooling of spaces up to approximately 000 m32.
Wall-mounted air conditioners
Samsung Wind Free Comfort
We will gradually move from mobile air conditioners to wall air conditioners. However, since their price is significantly higher, we will list only one smart model here, with the fact that you will be able to view other (and more expensive) models via the link at the end of the article. For example, Wind Free Comfort from Samsung appears to be a relatively affordable smart air conditioner, whose domain, according to the manufacturer, is very pleasant cooling using 23 micro-holes, thanks to which the cold air does not have an unpleasant effect on the skin. As for the energy consumption of this air conditioner, it is relatively low, as the product falls into the A+++ category. The air conditioning is controlled by both the remote control and the mobile application from Samsung, through which you can set and control everything you need. In terms of cooling capacity, the air conditioner should be able to cool a 70 m3 room without any problems. The hitch, however, is the price, which is 46 crowns for the indoor and outdoor unit together.
