Samsung confirmed its three-year smartphone update support system this week. Until now, only competitors offered software update support longer than two years Apple, mainly due to the fact that its smartphones were able to generate quite significant income for several years after their release. However, Samsung recently finally committed to extending software update support for its smartphones.

In addition to the mentioned support, Samsung also confirmed that in terms of the operating system Android 11 with the One UI 3.0 superstructure, will be the first smartphones of its product line Galaxy S20. These will be updated at the end of this year, and the company has also promised three major operating system updates for a number of its popular mid-range smart devices - among them, for example, Samsung Galaxy A71 and A51, both in LTE and 5G versions, or last year's Samsung Galaxy A90 5G. Samsung has also promised three years of operating system updates for its tablet product lines Galaxy Tab S6 a Galaxy Tab S7, as for all its high-end smartphones.

One UI 3.0 extension for the operating system Android 11 has been in development for some time now. Owners of Samsung smartphones should see it this fall Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. These three models will be in the first wave of devices to receive the update, with other smartphones and tablets to follow as soon as possible. Smartphones should receive the update at the beginning of next year at the latest Galaxy Notes 20, Galaxy Notes 10, Galaxy S10 and also folding models.
