When it comes to 5G, most of you probably think of the Chinese giant in the form of Huawei. Although the company is constantly fighting on several fronts, especially with the United States, it is still very successful and has record sales not only in the field of smartphones. Nevertheless, many countries have evaluated this Chinese conglomerate as dangerous and will not allow it to participate in the construction of 5G infrastructure. This was quickly exploited by competitors in the form of Nokia and other manufacturers, including Samsung. It is the latter that is trying to take over the market share after Huawei and offer not only competitive prices, greater security and, above all, trust, but also rapid development and research of new technologies. And that is what is allegedly happening in cooperation with Verizon.

According to internal sources, the South Korean company is involved in the production of special 5G chipsets based on mmWave and is helping to build the infrastructure for 5G in Japan, Canada, New Zealand and finally in the United States. It is there that cooperation takes place especially with the mobile operator Verizon, i.e. one of the largest in the country. In addition, thanks to the small chipsets from Qualcomm, the expansion of the infrastructure is extremely simple and installation can be done by almost anyone. Specifically, it is mmWave technology, which, unlike sub-6GHz, does not offer such a massive coverage based on mobile networks, but it has simple installation and strong local coverage. Anyone can purchase a portable station from Verizon, into which they just need to connect an Ethernet cable and enjoy super-standard speeds.
