The time is slowly approaching when it will be time to evaluate how individual smartphone manufacturers have fared in terms of sales of their devices. In the case of Samsung, it is expected to maintain its leading position in the field of global smartphone sales this year. In the following year, she should not only defend it, but, according to analysts, even strengthen it even more.

According to Strategy Analytics, the South Korean giant could reach up to 265,5 million smartphones sold this year. Although this is a decrease compared to 295,1 million from last year, it is still a respectable performance. Next year, according to experts from Strategy Analytics, Samsung should again reach the mark of 295 million smartphones sold, or even exceed it in the best case. Among other things, foldable smartphones and phones with 5G connectivity are to be credited for this.

Strategy Analytics further predicts that smartphone sales as such should see a year-on-year decline of 11% this year instead of the 15,6% originally expected. According to available reports, the global smartphone market is recovering from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic much faster. According to Strategy Analytics, Samsung should lead the smartphone market next year in terms of sales, followed by Huawei and Apple. Samsung has to deal with certain difficulties, especially in China, where it faces quite a lot of competition in the form of local brands, but even here it could soon begin to see better times.
