When Samsung presented its most affordable smartphone with 5G network support at the beginning of the month Galaxy A42 5G, did not reveal what chip it is built on. Now it's clear why - it uses Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 750G chipset, which was launched just two days ago.

That Galaxy The A42 5G is powered by this very chip, according to the leaked source code of the phone's benchmark. The new 8nm mid-range chip has two powerful Kryo 570 Gold processor cores running at a frequency of 2,21 GHz and six economical Kryo 570 Silver cores clocked at 1,8 GHz. Graphics operations are handled by the Adreno 619 GPU.

The chip also supports displays with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, HDR with 10-bit color depth, a camera resolution of up to 192 MPx, video recording in 4K resolution with HDR, and last but not least, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 standards.

Galaxy The A42 5G is set to go on sale from November and will be available in black, white and grey. In Europe, its price will be 369 euros (roughly 10 crowns). For it, it will offer a Super AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6,6 inches, FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 px) and a drop-shaped cutout, 4 GB of operating memory, 128 GB of internal memory, four rear cameras with a resolution of 48, 8, 5 and 5 MPx , 20 MPx selfie camera, fingerprint reader integrated into the screen, Android 10 with a user interface UI 2.5 and a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh.
