Samsung budget smartphones are not only popular in India Galaxy The M21 and M31 have started receiving an update bringing some of the photography features offered by One UI 2.1. Specifically, these are the functions My Filter, Single Take and Night Hyperlapse.

As a reminder – the first mentioned function allows the user to create custom filters with colors and style for future images, the second to use the shutter button to capture a series of images and videos, and the third to shoot time-lapse (hyperlapse) videos in low light conditions. Additionally, the M31's camera app now includes a Pro mode (in the latest version).

The more powerful model will now also show the user the time remaining until the battery is fully charged. The South Korean technological colossus has also improved the overall stability of both models, improved performance and fixed some bugs (however, it does not "traditionally" state what they are specifically). Some may find it disappointing that other user-favorite features of One UI 2.1, such as Music Share or Quick Share, are not part of the update.

The update is currently being rolled out to users in India, from where it should then roll out to the rest of the world. You can check its availability manually in Settings>Software update.
