Google started for smartphones with Androidem release a new editing mode for the Google Photos app. It brings automatic suggestions built on machine learning and improved tools for more detailed manual control, which should make photos look even better.

The biggest change is the new Suggestions tab in the photo editing menu, which offers recommendations for editing the image the user is currently looking at and automatically adjusts properties such as brightness, contrast or portrait effects.

Google offers some basic options under the new tab, such as "Enhance" and "Color Pop," while promising to add more options optimized for certain types of photos (such as portraits, landscapes, or sunsets) in the coming months. These options are supposed to be available first on Pixel phones.

In addition, there's a new interface for general editing tools, for "things" like brightness, contrast, color saturation, temperature, white point or blur, making it easier for users to navigate through the options and customize them for a given photo.

New editing tools for the popular photo and video app are being released for version s Androidem from yesterday, release date for version s iOS not known at this time.
