An affordable mid-range smartphone Galaxy The A42 5G supporting fifth generation networks was announced by Samsung at the Life Unstoppable virtual press conference about a month ago. The South Korean technology giant then shared the technical details through a press release. However, photos of individual color variants were missing, that is, except for black. However, we now have official press renders of the gray and white versions as well. You can find the images in the gallery below.

At first glance, the unusual design of the back of the phone is obvious. It does not have a uniform shade, but there are clear transitions between the four color tones. In my opinion, this design of the back is one of the less successful, but we will see how the device will look in real life.

Galaxy A42 5G will offer a 6,6″ Infinity-U display with HD+ resolution and an integrated fingerprint reader, a battery with a respectable 5000mAh capacity, a powerful processor Snapdragon 750G, up to 8GB of operating memory, a total of four cameras, a slot for microSD cards up to 1TB in size and Android 10 with the latest OneUI 2.5 superstructure.

Thanks to the price tag of €369 (approx. CZK 10) it gets Galaxy A42 5G "title" the cheapest smartphone supporting 5G networks, at least for now. It should be available at least on the German market from November. We do not have information on availability in the Czech Republic for now informace, unfortunately there is no mention of a 5G smartphone on Samsung's Czech website, but it is possible that we will be in for a pleasant surprise.
