According to a leaker who goes by the name MauriQHD on Twitter, Samsung is set to unveil the chip that will power its next flagship anytime soon Galaxy S21 (S30). It is said to be the Exynos 2100, which was mentioned in previous speculations (some mentioned it under the name Exynos 1000). The successor to the Exynos 990 was recently spotted in the Geekbench benchmark, where it scored 1038 points in the single-core test and 3060 points in the multi-core test.

This is a significantly worse result than what the A14 Bionic chipset, which is supposed to power the new generation of iPhones, achieved in the popular mobile benchmark. In it, he obtained 1583, or 4198 points.

Both the Exynos 2100 and A14 Bionic will be manufactured using a 5nm process – meaning more transistors fit into a square millimeter, allowing for higher performance and improved power consumption. Another flagship chip that will power the line will also be produced using the 5nm process Galaxy S21, namely the Snapdragon 875. Both the Exynos 2100 and the Snapdragon 875 will be manufactured by Samsung's semiconductor division, the Samsung Foundry.

The new line will apparently consist of phones Galaxy S21 (S30), Galaxy S21 Plus (S30 Plus) and Galaxy S21 Ultra (S30 Ultra). If the tech giant follows the tradition of the past years, the vast majority of the models in the range will be powered by the new Exynos, while the Snapdragon 875 version of the phone will be given to customers in the US and China. Samsung should introduce the series in February or March next year.
