Not even three years have passed since the introduction of the virtual assistant Bixby, and already Samsung has decided to end one of the four key parts of the application, namely Bixby Vision. This gadget used augmented reality (AR) to "communicate" with the world around it. The functions Places, Make-Up, Style and Equipment of the apartment will be turned off starting November 1st, this is informed by a message that appears on the display after starting Bixby Vision on a supported device.

Assistant Bixby has been accompanied by problems basically since its introduction on the side Galaxy S8. Samsung didn't have time to finish Bixby by the time it went on sale Galaxy S8 and so it happened that the assistant did not understand English. As it was only added later, the wait wasn't worth the wait, the quality of understanding wasn't who knows how amazing. Other functions were also added gradually in different markets, one of which was Bixby Vision. This gadget used augmented reality, so it was enough to point the device at a certain thing and Bixby recognized it and displayed what it was, translated the sign or found where to buy the item and so on. The Bixby Vision function was a kind of response to other manufacturers (in particular Apple), but Samsung overslept a bit and its augmented reality did not reach the same quality as its competitors. Therefore, it is not such a big surprise that the South Korean technology giant decided to end the function. However, it may happen that Bixby Vision will work longer in some markets due to the fulfillment of Samsung's contractual obligations towards its partners.
