Samsung launched a few weeks ago on flagship phones Galaxy S20 beta program of the One UI 3.0 user interface. The development continues and the South Korean tech giant has now started releasing a new beta version for the most powerful model of the series - the S20 Ultra - which is supposed to improve the camera.

The new public beta carries firmware version G988BXXU5ZTJF, is almost 600MB, and includes the latest October security patch. The release notes only mention that it improves the camera and security, but don't - as is Samsung's habit of late - provide any details. The good news is that the new beta build does bring tangible improvements to the camera. At least that's what the editors of the SamMobile website say.

As is well known, the original beta of the add-on had many problems related to the camera itself. It was slow, buggy, and its application often crashed. Although, according to the website, it has not yet had the opportunity to test the new beta for a long time, it is said to have noticed a visible improvement in the performance of the camera and the application has not crashed once.

However, the user experience with the camera is said to still not be perfect – according to the website, for example, when using the ultra-wide-angle sensor, the image sometimes shakes excessively. It is said that it is not clear what causes the unwanted effect, but whenever it occurs, it can render recordings unusable.

It's unclear at this point when the latest beta will hit other models in the range.
