The end of the month is approaching and Samsung continues to roll out the October security update to various devices. The latter are the new flagship tablets Galaxy Tab S7 a Galaxy Tab S7+. At the moment, users in dozens of countries across different continents are receiving it.

The new update, bearing the firmware designation TxxxXXU1ATJ4, is available for both the LTE and 5G versions of the tablets. As with smartphones, you can download it by opening Settings, selecting Software Update, and tapping Download & Install.

The update fixes five critical vulnerabilities and dozens of moderately dangerous bugs found in the system Android. In addition, it addresses 21 security exploits that were discovered in Samsung's software itself, one of which allowed unauthorized access to the Secure Folder app's SD card and user content. Apparently, the update does not bring any new features apart from the mentioned fixes (not that it bothers me, new tablets are literally "trampled" by them).

The latest security update was previously released for the current and last year's flagship series Galaxy S20, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 20 a Galaxy Note 10 and also two models of the series Galaxy A – A50 and A51. At the moment, it is not clear if the tech giant plans to release it on other devices before the end of the month.
