The latest version of Samsung's Find My Mobile application will finally offer users a very useful and long-awaited feature, which is offline search support. In practice, this means that users will be able to find their devices even if they do not have an active data connection. The only condition is that the devices are fully functional and that there is another device of the product line nearby Galaxy, which will be able to help with the search.

Max Weinbach from XDA Developers was one of the first to notice the changes, the novelty is brought by the version of the Find My Mobile application labeled v7.2.05.44. Once users install the said update, they should see a notification prompting them to activate the offline search feature. After tapping on the relevant notification, a notification will appear on the smartphone display along with a brief description of the offline search function. When the user activates this function, he must take into account that other devices in the series Galaxy they will be able to "track down" the device on which the function is turned on. The relevant device will then be able to scan other devices as well.

The feature will work not only on smartphones of the product line Galaxy, but also for smart watches Galaxy Watch and a Samsung handset Galaxy. As part of the aforementioned function, the owners Galaxy devices can also enable encrypted offline location. Samsung does not specify what this option entails, but it seems that it will be an additional security measure.
