In today's world, the so-called chat applications enjoy enormous popularity. The program is considered one of the best Rakuten Viber, which is the world leader in easy and secure communication. On the occasion of its tenth birthday, the application announces a great new feature called Chatbot Payments. This function extends the possibilities of communication itself into the field of financial services. Viber users can now use the platform to purchase products and services, and at the same time they can pay using Google Pay and other mobile payment services.
This step is essential to further expand Viber beyond messaging and towards a complete platform that will provide users with all their needs in a secure environment. The service will be launched in Ukraine first, and other countries will follow in 2021.
Along with the increase in popularity of communication platforms and social media, the needs of their users are also changing, who want more and more than just the ability to send messages, emoticons, gifs or make video calls. And why should they use another 20 different apps for payments, food delivery and other services in addition to different communication apps? And that number has continued to grow ever since, mainly due to the global pandemic increasing our need to do everything online. Viber responds to this need by expanding its services into financial services with the possibility of secure digital payments.
Viber Chatbot Payments will enable users to purchase products and services directly and securely from providers, through their authorized chatbots. If the user's bank allows it, just add a debit or credit card to their smartphone wallet and the user can use the service in any chatbot built within Viber's native chatbot application (API). Sellers simply connect to a payment provider that supports this type of payment, create a chatbot on Viber and enable payments within it. The Viber payment chatbot platform is:
- Time-saving: Chatbot Payments allows you to pay for purchases directly from the app
- Complex: Users can use it to pay for services they already use (payment of energy bills, transport, courier services, etc.)
- Safe: All private informace they are encrypted and not accessible to Viber or any other third party.
- Convenient for business: Chatbot Payments is an easy way for any small, medium or large company to connect with their clients and receive payments.
- Adjustable: A quick way to sell in any country where mobile wallet services are available.
Viber is working with renowned chatbot developers and payment service providers to launch the service within a month. After Ukraine, it will be the turn of other countries at the beginning of next year.
