The pursuit of the best possible ratio of price and performance, or rather image quality in the case of televisions, will take on a completely new dimension in the following years with the expansion of Mini-LED technology. It promises to equip the televisions of the future with a top-quality image at a favorable price. Although a few pieces with this technology have already been shown on our market, Samsung's involvement in business battles will probably mean its more massive expansion and a thrown gauntlet to the competition. Mini-LED completely surpasses classic LED technology, against which it has several aces up its sleeve.

The main advantage over classic LED screens is the increase in the number of irradiating diodes and the proportional reduction of the area they illuminate individually. This gives the panels the ability to precisely control the brightness on the titer areas of the screens, thereby improving the contrast and overall color rendering. Mini-LED is based on historically mass-used LCD technology, so its additional advantage is the resulting relatively low price.

Future TVs from Samsung should impress with an excellent ratio of price and picture quality. In addition, mini-LED technology, thanks to its large number of lighting diodes, gives manufacturers more freedom in determining the most advantageous panel dimensions for production. We should expect devices in all possible and impossible diagonals. The announcement of Samsung's first television should take place sometime in the first half of next year. Do you think that Mini-LED will be the technology of the future or do you rather believe in the more sophisticated but much more expensive OLED technology?
