Samsung has been releasing the November security patch for almost a week now, and in that time it has hit a number of devices, including a flexible phone Galaxy From Fold 2 and series Galaxy S20, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 20 a Galaxy Note 10. Now it has started releasing it also on almost three-year-old phones of the series Galaxy S9.

The update with the November security patch is currently being received by users in Germany, it should spread to other countries of the old continent in the coming days. Apart from current security fixes, the update does not bring any new functions or improvements, but this is due to its age Galaxy S9 (the series was launched in March 2018) quite understandable.

The patch fixes 5 critical vulnerabilities found in Androidu, as well as 29 serious errors and 31 moderately dangerous threats. In addition, it addresses 5 vulnerabilities in Samsung's software, including a bug that allowed the Secure Folder app to bypass FRP (Factory Reset Protection) and an exploit in the Exynos 990 chip that allowed it to run arbitrary code, potentially exposing sensitive information .

Samsung has already released an update to this series with the One UI 2.5 superstructure, which was the last of its kind for it. Although Galaxy S9 to Galaxy S9+ new One UI interface updates and Androidu will no longer receive new security patches for them, the technology giant will continue to issue them for the next few years.

As always, you can check for a new update by opening Settings, selecting Software Update, and tapping Download and Install.
