Although 5G networks are a relatively inflected topic, in the West it is still a kind of abstract idea, which gradually takes on real contours over the past years. While in China, Japan and South Korea commercial 5G the networks work almost as standard and only their constant improvement is taking place, in Europe and the United States the infrastructure that will be needed for the next generation networks is still being built. And Samsung, which ranks among the leading manufacturers of network solutions, is largely involved in its construction. Thanks to this, the South Korean giant helped build 4G and 5G backbone networks in, for example, Australia, the United States, Canada and New Zealand.

Now, however, the technology company has received another lucrative contract, right in its homeland. In South Korea, it will thus help to build a completely new, independent backbone network that will not be dependent in any way on the frequencies of previous generations and will be a full-fledged alternative to existing commercial options. Thanks to the 3GPP standard, it will also be a significantly more flexible solution that can be easily upgraded, scaled and, above all, offer much more efficient energy consumption, especially thanks to the fact that the technology does not build on existing backbone networks and is completely separate from them. We'll see if it does Samsung the plan will be achieved soon and the construction will be completed as soon as possible so that customers can also have access to the next generation 5G networks.
