Not so long ago, we informed you about an interesting working prototype of a rolling smartphone. The phone we wrote about in our recent article did not come from the workshop of a well-known manufacturer, but in the future we could very likely see LG roll-up phones.

LG had it registered this week trademark for the "LG Rollable" brand. The development of the device of the LG Rollable product line is under the auspices of the Explorer project of the company LG, under whose wings the LG Wing phone was created, for example. The rollable smartphone with the working designation of "Project B" is believed to be the second smartphone to come out of Project Explorer's workshop. At the same time, it will also be the first ever rollable smartphone to reach the mass market - assuming, of course, that everything goes as it should.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 really did well, but the rollable smartphone from Samsung is still in the stars:

LG seems to want to become an even stronger competitor for the smartphone business. It plans to launch its upcoming rollable smartphone in March next year, when the South Korean giant usually unveils its new product line smartphones Galaxy S. But according to available reports, Samsung wants to start from the line Galaxy S is gradually shifting away, and flagships among its smartphones should be folding phones of the Z product line in the future. To introduce Samsung Galaxy S21 could thus happen as early as January next year. The roll-up smartphone produced by LG should offer a slightly higher resistance due to its design and should not suffer from the ailments it faced, for example Galaxy First generation Fold. The absence of a joint should also be an advantage.
