Samsung is known for taking the utmost care with its sensors, especially when it comes to cameras and object detection. While the competition in this South Korean giant is quickly catching up, Samsung is still trying to overtake other manufacturers by leaps and bounds, which is only confirmed by the latest innovative Vizion 33D ToF sensor, which can capture objects in up to 120 frames per second and accurately map the distance, up to 5 meters. In addition to the incredibly low response, the sensor also boasts a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and auto-focus, which works on the basis of 3D spatial mapping. Thanks to this, the most accurate Face ID can be implemented in a smartphone, or it can be used to verify mobile payments.

Although the ToF sensor appeared already in the flagship model Galaxy S20Ultra, the Vizion 33D model brings the details to perfection and can be expected to appear in future variations and models from this South Korean giant. After all, Samsung is constantly fighting with Sony, which currently owns 50% of the market share with ToF sensors, so we shouldn't wait too long for implementation. The icing on the cake is the mention of the front camera, so we can enjoy 120 frames per second not only when taking classic photos, but also when taking selfies. So all that remains is to wait for future models and hope that the technological giant will not delay too much.
