Surely we all know it very well. You want to ask your smart assistant something, but you have to call the assistant by the same name over and over again. When Samsung then we are talking about Bixby, which has so far lagged behind the competition, and it often happened that users had to ask their question up to three times before they received a constructive answer. Nevertheless, the South Korean giant is still working on the development and improvement of cognitive functions, whether in terms of voice recognition or faster reactions. In addition, however, the developers are also exploring other options to elegantly wake up the assistant and make it active. Until now, you had to repeat "Hi, Bixby" every time, similar to the case with Alexa or Google Assistant, for example.

Fortunately, however, Samsung has come up with an alternative that consists of saying "Hey, Sammy". Thanks to this, users do not have to mindlessly repeat the same phrase, but will have the possibility of a deeper interaction. Either way, unfortunately the update is limited to the smart speaker for now Galaxy Home Mini, which is only available in South Korea. Exactly why Samsung has decided to postpone the mobile version for now is not certain, but we can expect to see this option over time and globally. After all, the company is said to be currently considering a global expansion. Even so, it is a pleasant change, and the familiar name Sammy will surely please anyone who does not like Bixby.
