Samsung started for its smart watch Galaxy Watch 3 to release a new update that improves one of their most useful features – blood oxygen level measurement (SPO2H). It also brings the usual improvements, such as increased software stability and (unspecified) bug fixes. Users in South Korea are the first to get it.

New update for Samsung's latest smartwatch Galaxy Watch 3 carries firmware version R840XXU1BTK1 and is currently available for users in South Korea. As always, it should gradually expand to other countries in the coming days or weeks.

According to the release notes, the update improves blood oxygen measurement, which is one of the key new features Galaxy Watch 3. In today's "covid" era, this feature is all the more relevant, so any improvement that makes the measurement more accurate is certainly welcome.

The changelog also mentions the addition of a voice guide for heart rate and cumulative distance when running and "lap" activities are recorded automatically. Users can listen to the voice guide using wireless headphones (such as Galaxy Buds Live), which are connected to the watch during exercise. Let us remind you that, thanks to the update from the end of October, even last year's ones have the useful function of the voice guide Galaxy Watch 2.
