The Google Pay application is starting to go through a thorough redesign. The appearance of the application has changed so far in the USA and in India, the rest of the world should follow in the near future. The big update brings not only a change in the appearance and logo of the service, but also a number of new useful functions. Newly, the application should focus on personal finance thanks to the emphasis on relationships with other people and companies.

Google Pay now resembles a chat app in the mentioned countries rather than a simple means of various payments. The new design revolves around conversations with other people and companies. It collects in the form of chats informace about past transactions and allows, for example, to easily split expenses with others. In sample screenshots, Google shows the use of the function, for example, to split the payment with roommates. In such cases, Google Pay will perform all the necessary calculations itself.

In the US, the application offers a number of discount coupons and benefits at business partners. Every month, the user receives an overview of past expenses and thus increased control over their finances. In doing so, Google promotes a shift towards safer and more controllable spending. It combines new payment security options with this. Use the new detailed settings to customize information sharing to your liking, including turning off app personalization entirely and keeping only essential features. However, Google promises that the collected data will not be sold to a third party and that it will not be used to create targeted advertisements. We don't yet know when Google Pay will arrive in our countries in its new form.
