Although Samsung officially ranks among the world's largest manufacturers of memory chips, this status is obviously still not enough for the South Korean giant and it is constantly trying to come up with other ways to expand its portfolio and consolidate its dominance in the market. One of these possibilities is extensive investments in increasing the production capacities of factories. And it is precisely in this aspect that Samsung wants to excel next year, as it plans to increase its production capacity by an additional 100 units. Thanks to this, the company would only confirm its supremacy and at the same time erase the lead of the competition, both in terms of massive production and innovation.

After all, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for memory chips due to working and studying from home has multiplied significantly. Samsung understandably wants to use this lucrative opportunity, exploit it to the maximum and, above all, intimidate competition in the form of Google and Amazon. It is precisely because of these two giants that chip prices fell by 10% in the last quarter. The South Korean company wants to focus primarily on DRAM memories and NAND memory chips. We can only hope that the company's optimistic forecasts will be fulfilled and we will see further massive investments, which Samsung has been making headlong of lately.
