Analytical company Counterpoint Research published a report on the 5G segment of the global smartphone market for the first month of autumn. It follows that it was the best-selling 5G phone Samsung Galaxy Note Ultra 5G, while its market share was 5%. The company's flagship model finished second Huawei P40 Pro with a share of 4,5% and the top three is rounded off by another smartphone from Huawei, this time the mid-range model Huawei nova 7 with a share of 0,2% lower.

Two more Samsung "flagships" entered the top five best-selling 5G smartphones - Galaxy S20 + 5G a Galaxy Notes 20 5G, whose share was 4, respectively 2,9%.

For Samsung, these results are more than encouraging, however, they may change significantly this month, as a new generation of iPhones and also a new flagship series go on sale Huawei Mate 40. There will probably not be so much interest in this outside of China (due to the ongoing sanctions of the US government, it again lacks Google services), but there is a high chance of changing market conditions iPhone 12 and its four models. Let's just remember how popular their predecessors were at the beginning of sales.

A completely different situation prevails in China, where Huawei is the clear leader of the 5G smartphone market there. Its market share was over 50% in the third quarter, according to a new report from IDC.
