Samsung has quietly started rolling out an update to its AI assistant Bixby. The update was rolled out a few weeks ago, with limited availability of the updated Bixby at first. The aim of the latest update seems to have been to significantly simplify the user experience. As the updated Bixby makes its way to a wider user base, Samsung has begun to officially comment on the changes that the new version brings.

As part of the updates, for example, the Bixby Home user interface has been completely redesigned - the background color, the location of Bixby Capsules and a number of other elements have changed. Bixby Home is also no longer divided into Home and All Capsules sections in the latest update - all relevant informace is now focused on a single home screen. The Bixby Voice user interface has also undergone changes, which now takes up a significantly smaller part of the smartphone's display, which makes the simultaneous use of Bixby Voice and other applications much easier and more pleasant.

Samsung has also worked to expand Bixby's reach across the entire ecosystem. For example, last month saw the release of a new update that improved the integration between smartphones and smart TVs, and now Bixby is also coming for DeX. Samsung DeX users can now finally use voice commands to control many aspects of the user interface, increasing the productivity and convenience of using DeX. Samsung strives to continuously improve its virtual voice assistant Bixby, so it can be assumed that more new features, deeper integrations and connections across the ecosystem will come with the next updates.
