According to the latest estimates, Huawei's share of the smartphone market will decline significantly next year. Apparently, the "hardest" prediction is the Business Standard website cited by the Gizchina server, according to which the share of the Chinese smartphone giant will be only 2021% in 4, while it predicts 14% this year.

According to website analysts, the main reason for such a significant drop will be the ongoing sanctions of the American government, which have been tightened several times this year alone. Because of them, among other things, Huawei was cut off from its main chip supplier, the Taiwanese company TSMC, and the sanctions also deprived it of key technological and software advantages. They also forced him sell its Honor division.

Analysts expect that other Chinese smartphone players, such as Xiaomi or Oppo, will use the situation to their advantage. They also expect that the mentioned Honor will compete more aggressively for the vacant place on the market next year.

Meanwhile, another report on the smartphone market has been published by Gartner, an analytical company. According to it, 366 million smartphones were sold in the third quarter of the year, which is 5,7% less than the same period last year. While this is a noticeable drop, it is significantly less than the 20% that the market fell by in the first half of the year.

Samsung was still the market leader – it sold 80,82 million smartphones, which corresponds to a market share of 22%. Second came Huawei (51,83 million, 14,4%), third Xiaomi (44,41 million, 12,1%), fourth Apple (40,6 million, 11,1%) and the top five is rounded off by Oppo, which sold 29,89 million smartphones and thus took a 8,2% share.
