The first renders of Huawei's next flagship smartphone, likely to be called the P50 Pro, have appeared online. While these are unofficial renders, they were modeled after images from a patent registered by the smartphone giant, so the design they show can speak volumes.

Perhaps the most striking feature that the images show is the rear camera. It is located in a large circular module, which is cut off from the left side. Four sensors can be seen here, including the periscope module. As for the front side, it is from the predecessor P40 Pro almost no different, the only difference is perhaps the slightly greater curvature of the display on the sides. Otherwise, there is also a double piercing on the left.

Virtually nothing is known about the P50 Pro at the moment. According to unofficial reports, it (and the base model P50) will be powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset and will be launched in the first half of next year. "Behind the Scenes" informace it also talks about Samsung Display and LG Display supplying the displays for the next flagship series.

Huawei has been having a hard time lately due to US government sanctions. Analysts expect its global market share to drop significantly next year, with the most pessimistic estimates suggesting a drop of just 4%. At home, however, it still remains very strong – in the third quarter of the year, its share was 43%, keeping it safely at the very top (however, it lost three percentage points quarter-on-quarter).
