Although a few years ago Samsung dominated the smartphone market alongside Apple and you would be hard-pressed to find a more competitive company, recently this aspect has somewhat died down and the South Korean giant was happy to somehow stay on its feet. Fortunately, however, company representatives came up with a solution to reverse this situation and rise to the top again, or even depose the imaginary king. And as it turned out, the plan to conquer other markets where Apple he doesn't have that kind of dominance, he was a hit. In total, Samsung managed to sell 80.8 million smartphones in the third quarter, according to the analyst company Gartner, whereby the company consolidated its 22% market share.

Compared to the same period last year, sales even jumped by 2.2%, despite the pandemic, and at the same time, an absolutely shocking news came from analysts, which probably surprised even the Samsung representatives themselves. The manufacturer managed to sell more than twice as many smartphones during this period as Apple, which is one of the biggest competitors. On the other hand, Huawei, the supposed rising star of Asia, was unlucky, with its market share falling to just 14.1%, mainly due to sanctions and the unfavorable global situation. The Chinese Xiaomi then improved its sales by 44.4 million units and covered 12.1% of the market share, which represents a roughly 34.9% increase. We'll see how Samsung does this quarter.
