It's been on the air for a few weeks now news trickles in, according to which Samsung is discontinuing the series next year Galaxy Notes. At the end of last month, however, they discovered informace, that the South Korean technology giant series will not "cut" so abruptly and will present at least one model next year. But now, citing three well-informed sources, Reuters has reported that Samsung has no plans to release any new models in 2021 for the long-running flagship series, which has earned its popularity thanks to its large display and the ability to take notes with the S Pen.

Instead, the stylus will reportedly support the top-of-the-range model Galaxy S21 - Galaxy S21 Ultra - and the next flexible phone Galaxy From Fold 3. In both cases, the pen should be sold separately.

The reason why Samsung wants to stop producing the popular series is apparently its unsatisfactory sales (including the current series Galaxy Notes 20). Counterpoint analyst Tom Kang told Reuters that sales of the series could fall by as much as a fifth to 8 million this year, but he also expects sales of the S series to fall by 5 million to around 30 million. "Demand for premium devices has decreased this year and many people are not looking for new products," the analyst added. It seems that Samsung wants to optimize its smartphone portfolio in such a situation and focus on only two flagship series in the future, i.e. Galaxy With a Galaxy Z.

The first model of the series saw the light of day in 2011 and became a pioneer of smartphones with large screens (its display had an unprecedented 5,3-inch screen). In addition, it helped Samsung become the largest smartphone manufacturer for the first time in the same year (at the expense of Apple).
