When Samsung introduced a 108 Mpx camera and a hundred times "Space zoom" u Galaxy S20 Ultra, everyone was excited and looking forward to the amazing photos. Unfortunately, practical use showed that the resulting photos are not a miracle, as the company presented, and the South Korean technology giant tried to improve the camera and its reputation with several software updates, it more or less succeeded, in any case, the result is still not satisfactory for many. Now, however, it looks like Samsung intends to go much further, with a camera with a hard-to-imagine 600Mpx in development.

Informace about this "otherworldly" sensor appeared on the Twitter of the well-known leaker @IceUniverse, who even shared in his post what looks like a slide from some kind of presentation. Adding to the credibility of this leak is the fact that we also learn a fair amount of technical specifications of the upcoming camera. As you can see for yourself in the gallery of the article, the aforementioned sensor would occupy 12% of the back of the smartphone, which might not be such a big obstacle, since we are already used to rear cameras occupying a large area of the back of the phone. The problem that Samsung still has to solve is the thickness of this sensor, according to available information it should reach a value of 22 millimeters, which is an unreal number, for example in Galaxy The rear camera of the S20 Ultra protrudes "only" by 2,4 millimeters.

You might be wondering why the South Korean company is working on this ISOCELL sensor with a pixel size of 0,8µm, the answer is logical. Samsung believes that 4K and 8K video recording will soon become mainstream and it certainly does not want to be left behind, quite the opposite.
