Almost three years ago, Samsung introduced a giant 146-inch TV The Wall, which was the first in the world to use MicroLED technology. Since then, it has released its variants in sizes from 75-150 inches. Now news has hit the airwaves that they will be unveiling a new MicroLED model soon.

According to unofficial information, Samsung is to introduce a new MicroLED TV already this week in order to further strengthen its position in the segment of premium televisions. The unveiling of the news should take place via a webinar, but its parameters are currently unknown. Anyway, speculation is that the new TV will be aimed at home entertainment fans (The Wall TV was primarily aimed at the corporate and public sphere).

MicroLED technology is characterized by the use of extremely small LED modules that can function as self-illuminating pixels, similar to OLED technology. This results in darker and therefore more realistic blacks, a higher contrast ratio and overall better image quality compared to LCD and QLED TVs. However, industry observers believe that the South Korean tech giant's upcoming MicroLED TVs will not be true MicroLED TVs, as they will use LED modules the size of millimeters, not micrometers.

According to analysts' estimates, the market for MicroLED TVs will grow from this year's 2026 million dollars to almost 25 million dollars by 230.
