As was speculated at the beginning of the week, it also happened - Samsung launched a new TV with MicroLED technology. It offers, among other things, a virtually frameless screen (the ratio of the display to the body is 99,99%) and 5.1 surround sound. It is mainly used in home cinemas.

The new TV uses millions of micrometer-sized self-illuminating LED modules, enabling it to produce deep blacks and a high contrast ratio. As this technology uses inorganic materials, it does not suffer from the problem of image burn-in like OLED screens. Samsung estimates that its lifespan is up to 100 hours (in "translation" up to 000 years).

The new product has a 110-inch diagonal and 4K resolution. Samsung did not disclose parameters such as brightness, contrast or refresh rate, but it can be assumed that it supports the HDMI 2.1 standard and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The TV also features AI-powered Object Tracking Sound+ technology, which can create a multi-channel cinema-style audio experience, and a feature called 4Vue, which allows users to watch four 50-inch video feeds side-by-side from four different sources.

The technological giant's second MicroLED TV (the first was the giant TV The Wall) will be launched in the first quarter of next year and will be sold at a very high price - roughly 3 crowns. It will be available first in the US, some European countries and the Middle East. According to Samsung, it is considering the possibility of releasing the novelty in the future in sizes from 400-000 inches.
