Samsung has released a new app called GameDriver to the world. It promises better gaming performance and faster driver updates on select smartphones.

Samsung promises that the app will work on more devices in the future Galaxy and support more games. At the moment, it only works on current flagship phones Galaxy S20 a Notes 20 and supports Call of Duty: Mobile, Black Desert and Fortnite titles. These are globally popular hits, but they are still only three games.

The "big thing" the app will bring, however, is that it will allow the South Korean tech giant to release hardware driver updates without having to release a system-wide update. This means that tweaking and improving the graphics chip would come to users through the Google Play Store. This would break down a major barrier, as slow operating system updates are usually partly the fault of mobile operators, who have to test and approve updates before releasing them.

Updates provided by the Google Store are much less strict. In theory, Samsung could issue an update for users of the mentioned application within days or even hours. Now, anyway, it depends on whether GameDriver actually makes it to more phones and supports more games over time. If not, that would certainly be a shame.

If you are the owner of the series phones Galaxy S20 or Note 20, you can download the app <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>.
