While a few years ago, processors from Samsung looked a bit through the fingers and the alpha and omega of the entire smartphone world was just Snapdragon, this situation has been slowly but surely changing recently. The South Korean giant somehow reconsidered its strategy and is trying to ensure the most optimal price-performance ratio. This is also evidenced by the new Exynos 1080, which will appear for the first time in the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro models, i.e., paradoxically, in phones from another company. In any case, it will be a clear demonstration of what the chip is actually capable of. According to leaks and the latest information, in the Geekbench benchmark it reaches 888 points on a single core and 3244 points in the case of multi-core workload.

Just for comparison, these values are significantly closer to the Snapdragon 888, thus far one of the primary flagship chips that only the most powerful models could boast of. The Snapdragon 865+ alone outperforms the Exynos 1080 by a few hundred points. Either way, this is an excellent result, especially thanks to the fact that Samsung chose 5nm production technology, which is not yet a complete standard these days. The only question remains, when will we see a device directly from the South Korean company, which will keep the aforementioned processor, or its equivalent, under the hood.
