The day we've all been waiting for all year has finally arrived. Were you lucky enough to get a phone from Samsung? Read on for some of our tips that might help you get started.

Step one - unpacking

Who wouldn't know, excited to get a non-soft gift and it's something as amazing as a phone, but put your excitement aside for a moment and be careful when unpacking the phone and keep it completely everything you find in the box, every plastic part. One day it may happen that your heart longs for a newer generation smartphone and you want to sell your current one. If you offer a phone with a complete package, which also looks like something, your chances of getting the device will be much higher, and you will also be able to command a higher price.

Step Two – What did I actually get?

As unlike other companies, Samsung offers a wide portfolio of its phones, it would be a good idea to find out what smartphone you were gifted with. You will definitely find this information right on the box. Accordingly, you can then choose various accessories and find instructions. Which brings us to the next part, search the phone box properly and read the manual, if you can't find it, don't worry, it should also be stored directly in the smartphone in Settings, under the tab Tips and user guide.

Step Three - First Run

Now we get to what we're all waiting for - the first launch. Feel the trigger button and hold it. The phone will start to turn on, then just follow the on-screen instructions that will guide you through the necessary and optional features that will ensure safe and convenient operation of the device. In order to back up photos, videos, music and settings, you will need a Google account, if you don't have one, your phone will guide you on how to create one. Previously it was also necessary to create a Samsung account, but now only the Google account will suffice.

Step Four – Go through the settings

Once all the important things are set, go yourself to the Settings and go through all the items one by one, focusing on the special features that your phone has in addition. You will definitely find some of them practical and use them a lot. Do not forget to set how you will unlock the phone, you will definitely find the PIN unlocking option in every device. If you have a more equipped smartphone, you will also find a fingerprint or face here.

Step Five – Personalization

The phone you just received is only yours and you can also customize the appearance of the system, go to Settings and select Motives. Almost unlimited possibilities will open up for you to modify the entire design of the environment at once or the background and icons separately. But be careful, some items are paid, others are free.

Step six - choose accessories

Once you have your smartphone set up and customized, it's time to find out what accessories are sold for your phone. Many models from Samsung have a slot for microSD cards, which are used to expand the memory. For me, I can recommend cards from the workshop of a South Korean company, I didn't have a single problem with them, on the contrary, I quite often hear from friends how it happened to them with other brands that, for example, all of their photos were suddenly deleted.

Of course, it is also important to protect the smartphone from mechanical damage, packaging or cases will help with this. Again, there is an abundance of these accessories available and it is up to you which one you choose. We also strongly recommend a protective glass or foil for the display, these gadgets will in many cases prevent the screen from cracking if you drop the device.

Can I pay by phone?

You can find this out quite easily, pull down the top bar and see if the item is there NFC. If so, you've won, just find the Google Pay app and set up your payment card.

How can I download apps to my phone?

It's easy, just search for Play Store in the list of already installed apps and you can start downloading. However, Samsung brand phones also have their own store with the name Galaxy Store, here you will also find not only applications, but also a lot of other content, such as the already mentioned themes and filters for the camera.

We believe that our brief guide helped you, at least in the beginning, and if you still miss something, don't be shy to ask your question in the comments below the article.
