The new year is already knocking on the door, and with its arrival comes the time of various balancing, which even our favorite company from South Korea does not miss. Samsung managed to launch a lot of things in the past year, but we will highlight three of them, which we think are the most important and show the direction that the South Korean company could take successfully in the future.
Samsung Galaxy S20FE
The regular S20 series has been a success for Samsung this year, as it has been almost every other year. Year after year, the South Korean company shows that it can combine the best conventional smartphone features to produce a truly premium device that clearly deserves its price tag. However, the market for high-end phones does not reach the same volume as the market for slightly cheaper devices in the upper middle class. And in this sector, an unexpected gem emerged in 2020.
Samsung Galaxy The S20 FE (fan edition) became part of the advent of devices that offer premium qualities at a slightly lower price level. Although the six thousand cheaper fan edition has to make several compromises due to the lower final price (lower resolution display, plastic chassis), it is praised from all sides. If you want a device with flagship specifications at a lower price, this phone is definitely worth thinking about.
Improved foldable phones
While foldable phones were clumsy publicly available prototypes in 2019, the past year has breathed a lot of new life into them. Thanks to the many lessons Samsung learned in the production of the first generation Galaxy From Fold a Galaxy Z Flip was able to launch a modified version of both devices among eagerly awaiting customers, which in both cases succeeded admirably.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 got rid of the wide frames of its predecessor and came with a better hinge and the overall design of the foldable display. From the second Galaxy Flip, on the other hand, has become a mobile phone for those who are looking for a compact device, but do not want to give up all the advantages of large displays. Samsung is the only manufacturer that has really stepped into the production of folding devices. We will see how his initiative pays off in the coming years.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3
Wearable devices are getting smarter and becoming for some of us inseparable helpers to whom we entrust our health and well-being even during our nightly rest. Samsung flashed in 2020 with the third generation of its smart watch Galaxy Watch 3. The company was able to fit a lot of new functions into the smaller body of the device.
The third generation of the watch offered, among other things, an electrocardiograph, which can check the correct functioning of your heart without resetting, and the V02 Max technology, which monitors the oxygen content in the blood. The best Android watches take care of health with an elegant look that no "conventional" watch can be ashamed of.
Of course, in addition to individual products, Samsung also did well in general. The company recorded record revenues despite the difficult period of the new coronavirus pandemic. It has been successful both in the field of smartphones and tablets, as well as, for example, in the TV market, where it offers some of the most advanced models that you can currently find.
