The first independent Honor smartphone – the Honor V40 – will arrive in just a few days, specifically on January 18. This was confirmed by the company itself through the Chinese social network Weibo.

Honor also released a short clip on Weibo showing the phone (more precisely, its front). The novelty has a curved display with minimal frames and a double hole located on the left. The design is strikingly similar to the Huawei nova 8 Pro 5G smartphone, which just went on sale today.

According to unofficial information, the Honor V40 will receive a 6,72-inch OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate support, MediaTek's new flagship chipset Dimensity 1000+, 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, a quad camera with a resolution of 64 or 50 , 8, 2 and 2 MPx, a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, support for fast charging with a power of 66 W and software should be built on Androidwith 10 and the Magic UI 4.0 user interface.

As you know from our previous news, Huawei sold by Honor in November of last year, because he found himself "under enormous pressure" due to increasingly strict American sanctions. The "new" Honor has already revealed its ambitions for this year, and they are not at all timid - it would like to sell 100 million smartphones in the Chinese market and thus become the number one there. However, it will have to fight for supremacy with its former parent company Huawei, which, with the help of Honor, has so far unswervingly ruled the world's largest smartphone market.
