As you probably know, in recent years, smartphone manufacturers have been literally chasing to maximize the screen area as much as possible and rid it of many unnecessary and unaesthetic cutouts that dominated the market until recently. After that, most of the technological giants tended to another significant breakthrough development - a breakthrough, thanks to which the display could expand to almost 90% of the front surface of the smartphone, without affecting the functionality of the camera. However, this did not stop other tendencies to get rid of this aspect as well, and many manufacturers have been trying for some time to implement and build the camera directly under the display, which would leave the surface of the front side almost intact.

Chinese companies such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo have made the most progress in this regard so far, which come up with the biggest technological innovations and are not afraid to implement them in new models. However, apparently Samsung is not far behind either, which according to internal sources has advanced to the next stage, and even the upcoming flagship model Galaxy S21 it still retains a small gap, in the case of the next years we could expect another significant design leap. Already in May of last year, the South Korean giant boasted of a patent, which, however, remained secret until the end of the year, and only now can we get a glimpse of this new technology. And by all accounts, it looks like we have a lot to look forward to. So far, the biggest problem has been light transmission and error minimization, which ZTE had a problem with, for example. However, Samsung came up with a solution – to separate the two parts of the display and ensure greater light transmission to the upper part where the camera will be located.
